Tiger Woods recently apologized. He publicly apologized to his fans and to his wife and family. What I wonder is if he is sorry that he cheated on his wife numerous times, or is he sorry that he got caught?
Personally, I found his apology to be very insincere. He seemed like he was reading a speech that was professionally written for him. It also seemed like he was coached on how to deliver the speech: when to look up, who to look at, voice inflection, etc.
He states the he believed "normal rules didn't apply" to him, the he was "entitled". I think that is the heart of the problem. Many celebrities and sports stars feel that same entitlement, I believe.
I am also angered by the spotlight that the media is giving to the mistresses of Tiger Woods. I don't believe these women deserve any attention for their acts. They knew he was married and therefore I believe they gave up any rights they may have been entitled to in such a situation. While I blame Tiger for this mess, these women are also to blame. If no one had agreed to sleep with a married man, there would be no story here.

[(Jon + Kate) – Jon] + 8 / 2 = ?????
Keeping in line with my last post on infidelity, I want to address the mess we know as Jon and Kate Gosselin. For those of you who haven't heard, Jon and Kate Gosselin are the recently divorced couple who are parents to eight children. They are stars of the reality television show "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" on TLC.
What I find interesting is that men and women seem do have totally differing opinions on Jon Gosselin. Most women I've talked with detest Jon. They HATE him! Men, on the other hand, seem to understand where Jon is coming from. Keep in mind; this has only been an informal, unscientific poll of my friends and family.
When I asked my husband what he thought of the philandering star, he replied, "Look how his wife treated him for years!" Does her behavior then provoke his behavior, I wonder? Other male friends said that if Kate had taken care of Jon he wouldn’t have strayed. How can you take care of a husband, a television show, and eight children, I wonder? The consensus is that women side with Kate and men side with Jon.
Personally, I feel no sympathy for a man that fathered eight children and yet doesn’t have to work any longer. His so-called hardships are not that hard compared with the rest of America’s troubles. Yes, he has eight kids and is only 32 years old. Yes, he was unhappy in his marriage. But you know what? They were television stars that lived in a million dollar mansion and didn’t have to work outside the home. They could make raising their children their sole business and do very well at it.
I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY.
Get over yourself, Jon Gosselin. You were unhappy. SO WHAT. Millions of people are unhappier than you are. You were the winner of the “Child Lottery”. Not only did you have eight healthy, happy children, but they are children that support you!
